You mean MMO style. If its RPG, its most defently FFVII. For MMO on that list, GW, because It's got great graphics and its free.

MMO? I dont really know all those terms yet, just say Roleplaying.
Dunno why theres so many terms though MMORPG, RPG, MMO, etc, etc. I just say RPG
But so far I've found EQ the best.

For RPG, I would go with FF7, for online game, D2. My personal favorite RPGs are Secret of Mana and Start Ocean 2, oya and Link to the Past, and Guild Wars is also up there. I love all games, but out of ur list I would say D2 beats out Guild Wars just barely, mainly because I can make all the characters I want.

Well, I can only answer for normal RPGs, but it goes like this:


1. Chrono Trigger (Still the best)
2. Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age (I know that's two games, but honestly, they count as one to me!)
3. Final Fantasy VI (This is not a typo, I really meant 6! )

I dunno, I liked Terranygma a LOT better than I did Crono Trigger.

Diablo 1/2, altho I suspect many purists would berate us for daring to call the series an RPG as opposed to a click fest :-o Still I love them so ner!

Single player - Might & Magic 6 and 7, Baldurs Gate1 (BG2 was actually better in some ways but I'm just more fond of the 1st one...) and Kotor1/2

Multiplayer - based on actual game-playing time, Diablo2. Many imitators, some even decent, but none have that obsessive, drug-like addiction quality that it had.
But yeah, I used to call D2 a 'RPG-lite'.

and for multiplayer yup what else guildwars lol

Xenogears... robots, deformed sewer people/creatures, a priest that has a robot with a cape (super priest!... where i got my second GW character name from, Super Priestor)... that alone makes it the best RPG ive ever played

Diablo II, many, many years spent on this game, and i would not change that fact if i could..

I never got hooked onto everquest or wow.

And i dearly hate Runescape, its gone downhill all the way and i am amazed how many noobs still play it. If you want a good free mmorpg then go to roseon.com and download ROSE online.

Multiplayer:
Diablo/Diablo 2: LoD
GuildWars
Neverwinter Nights (in persistent worlds or multiplayer campaigns)
Dungeon Siege (but only if everyone starts in the same place at the same time LOL!)

Chrono Cross (even though it was nothing like Chrono Trigger..it was decent IMO)
